Oncology Massage
Oncology massage is a gentle, specially adapted form of massage for people living with, or recovering from, cancer. It is a comfort-focused, supportive therapy designed to help you feel more relaxed and at ease. It does not treat cancer — but it can be a valuable part of how you care for yourself during and after treatment.

How it may help
Many people find oncology massage helps them:
- Feel calmer and more relaxed
- Ease tension and improve their sense of wellbeing
- Take time out and feel cared for during a difficult time
We make no claim that massage treats cancer or its symptoms — our focus is entirely comfort and support.

Frequently asked questions
Is massage safe during chemotherapy or radiotherapy?
It can be, when properly adapted — and timing matters. Before treating you we'll need clearance from your GP or oncologist, and we'll adapt everything to your situation.
Can I have a massage if I've had lymph nodes removed?
Yes, with appropriate care — this is exactly what oncology-trained therapists are trained to manage. If you have, or are at risk of, lymphoedema, see our Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) page.
Will it hurt?
No — oncology massage is gentle by design.
