Foot & Ankle Pain

What is Foot and Ankle Pain?

Foot and ankle pain can interfere with everyday movement, work, and sporting performance. It may stem from ankle sprains and ligament damage, Achilles or other tendon conditions, plantar heel pain (plantar fasciitis), joint irritation, or inefficient foot mechanics that increase strain through the lower limb. Symptoms can appear suddenly after injury or build gradually with repetitive loading, training changes, footwear issues, or prolonged standing.

How Body Repair Clinic can help

At Body Repair Clinic, we focus on understanding how your foot and ankle are coping with load and movement demands. Your assessment looks at tissue sensitivity through pressure testing, joint and muscle capacity via strength and range of motion (ROM) testing, and how you move using recorded and analysed movement patterns such as walking, running, or sport-specific tasks.

Care is then shaped around your needs and activity goals. Treatment may involve hands-on techniques to improve mobility and comfort, shockwave therapy where appropriate, and a structured rehabilitation and strength programme designed to restore control, power, and confidence. Guided by our team of osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports therapists, and massage therapists, the aim is not just to settle pain, but to help you return to activity stronger and more capable than before.
